The weekend of 6th February 2015 saw the first of what will now be an annual PSA and WSA Squash event at The Parklangley Club.

The event is a memorial event for Kent squash legend Ken Cotton who passed away a couple of years ago. Ken dedicated his life to helping Kent junior squash and its players.

During the period he was involved, players that came through the Kent squash programme included Paul Johnson, Adrian Grant, Chris Tomlinson, John Russell, Paul Butler, Ben Ford, David Harris, Toby Mortimer, Clinton Gallard to name a few!

The men’s event saw some great matches and some home interest from club coach Steve Pratt who lost 3-1 to Steve Wykes and Steve London who lost in the quarter-finals to Patrick Rooney but there was only ever going to be one champion with James Earles proving way too strong for the rest of the field, beating Ben Ford 3-0 in final.

In the women’s event Park Langley’s home grown hero Gina Kennedy won a close 3-0 against Alison Thomson to take the title to continue her good form.
