OUR JUNIOR LEVELS EXPLAINED
We operate our age groups in line with LTA guidelines so if you are unsure which age group (child's year of birth can be found in brackets) you should be looking at, please see below:

MEET
OUR COACHES
LEVEL 4
A beginner or a player with very little experience. cannot serve, rally, or score and needs helps understanding the rules of the game.
LEVEL 3
A player who can complete at the most basic level in their squad with assistance and would understand basic rules. Can serve (modified in some cases), hold a basic rally with emphasis on getting the ball over and in.
LEVEL 2
An experienced player who has completed at Grade 5-7 competitions. They can serve, rally and score and have a basic understanding of the rules of tennis. They have control over height, direction, and speed with basic technique.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME LEVELS AND DESCRIPTIONS
LEVEL 1
A very experienced player who regularly competes in Grade 3-4 competitions. They can serve, rally and score and have an excellent understanding of the rules. They have control over direction, height, speed, and spin, and are technically sound. Coach assessment is required of the player’s level.
PERFORMANCE 1P (INVITE ONLY)
Competition Profile: Players are expected to regularly compete at Grade 3 level and above (National grade 2 and 1 events). Ranking, WTN, and win/loss ratios will also be considered.
Coach Recommendation: The Performance Team’s opinions and assessment of the player’s level, including work rate, effort, commitment, and punctuality.
